Stage I: Preliminary Examination (Prelims)

Important: Atter the declaration of Prelims results, UPSC opens a 10-day window for candidates to submit cadre preferences along with a fee of ₹200 for Mains registration.

Stage II: Main Examination (Mains)

The Real Test of Depth, Logic & Language

The UPSC Mains is a written exam consisting of 9 papers, out of which 2 are qualifying and the remaining 7 are counted for merit. This stage evaluates your intellectual depth, conceptual clarity, and expression.
