Introduction
The Next Generation Offshore Patrol Vessel (NGOPV) programme is an indigenously designed and built shipbuilding initiative of the Indian Navy, with construction concurrently undertaken at two shipyards — GSL, Goa and GRSE, Kolkata. Under this programme, Yard 3037 (Shruti) was launched at M/s GRSE, Kolkata.

Conclusion
The launch of Yard 3037 (Shruti) at GRSE, Kolkata under the NGOPV programme strengthens indigenous multi-role patrol capability of the Indian Navy, advancing milestone in Indian Navy’s pursuit of indigenous shipbuilding in consonance with ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ and ‘Make in India’ initiatives.
