About the Course
Tri-Services Future Warfare Course is a four-week course conducted under HQ IDS and coordinated by CENJOWS. Its 4th edition began at Manekshaw Centre, New Delhi, on 3 August 2026, bringing together officers of the three Services, government, academia, industry, and think tanks to understand future warfare challenges.

- Aegis (Under the guidance or authority of): Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff (HQ IDS)
- Coordination: Centre for Joint Warfare Studies (CENJOWS)
Curriculum Focus Areas
- Geopolitical developments and emerging technologies
- Technology domains: Artificial Intelligence, quantum technologies
- Warfare domains: cyber and cognitive warfare, information warfare, autonomous systems
- Operational domains: land, maritime, air and space
- Grey-zone operations and multi-domain operations (MDO)
- Technology-enabled warfare
Participants & Faculty
- Officers from the three Services that is Army, Navy and Air Force
- Representatives from government organisations, academia, industry and strategic think-tanks
- Faculty: senior military officers, policymakers, scientists, industry leaders and subject matter experts
Conclusion
The course aims to prepare India’s armed forces for future wars by promoting joint training and understanding of emerging technologies and modern warfare.
