About RKVY
- Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY) is a Centrally Sponsored Scheme (CSS) launched in 2007 to promote the holistic development of the agriculture and allied sectors.
- It is implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare.
- The scheme follows a State-led and decentralized approach, allowing States to prepare agriculture development plans based on local needs and priorities.
Objectives
- Increase public investment in agriculture and allied sectors.
- Promote sustainable agricultural growth and higher farm productivity.
- Develop agricultural and post-harvest infrastructure.
