Introduction
A hybrid magneto-rheometer is a laboratory instrument that simultaneously measures the rheological (flow and deformation) and tribological (friction and wear) properties of Magnetorheological (MR) fluids under compression and shear, both in the presence and absence of an external magnetic field.
Hybrid magneto-rheometer offers a novel way to characterise the performance of smart fluids that increase in viscosity when subjected to a magnetic field and are useful for medicine, aerospace, defense sector and in automation.
