Conclusion

INS Talwar (F40) is the lead Talwar-class stealth frigate of the Indian Navy, combining Krivak III-class design with BrahMos-capable firepower and extensive operational experience in anti-piracy, escort and counter-narcotics missions. Its name traces a naval lineage to the 1946 Royal Indian Navy Mutiny and an earlier Whitby-class frigate.
